Visual Vacation(s)

Greetings,

It is perplexing when one plays by the rules of life that the cards seem to be stacked against that person; but then when one circumvents, bends and/or breaks the rules then the cards dealt seem to work all in one's favor every time. The wife and I have been wanting to go on vacation for awhile now; we're looong overdue. The last true vacation was our honeymoon, on the Carnival Triump, in 2006. Well, for those, like us, who yearn to go on a vacation and just can't seem to find a means, then here is a visual vacation, to Saba Island, for your viewing pleasure. In-joy life...

"I've cleansed enough," says Wifey...

Yes, Folks, you read correctly. I've made it to my 10th day of the Master Cleanse and with that, I'm done! I'm proud of myself making it through the recommended regimen; it's the longest fast I've ever completed. (Go me, go me, go me!) Hopefully, I've detoxed enough to be in improved health and though I'm not at my ideal weight (it's a work in progress like many things in life), I did drop some pounds, which is AWESOME! Plus, in doing the fast, I've re-focused maintaining a steady workout regimen. Hopefully, it becomes a habit that REALLY sticks this time. We'll see...So, with that, my tapering off the Master Cleanse begins today. Now, to decide what I'm going to eat for my first post cleanse meal. Yummy:)

Extra! Extra!

After a tumultuous night of unforgiving and tempting thoughts of my vegan lasagna and much contemplation for the better portion of this day, Hubby has decided to call it quits on this go 'round of the Master Cleanse. At approximately 2:15 p.m. today, Hubby officially ceased the master cleanse with an audacious, much longed for bite of food: vegetarian chilli. Though his cleansing did not last as long as he initially planned, Hubby did achieve the weight loss / body fat reduction results he desired and he succeeded in sufficiently detoxing his system...and he has pledged to repeat the Master Cleanse a few times each year to maintain optimal internal and external physical health. (Therefore, we'll undoubtedly be writing to you in a few months of our next Master Cleanse adventure.) As for me, as of this writing, I am still following the Master Cleanse protocol but I have requested the recommended ingredients for tapering off the cleanse; when I will begin to use them is TBD at this point so, we (you and I!) will have to wait and see how long I last. Stay tuned...
